Jazzercise

Hey everybody. Just got back from working out at Jazzercise. I love it. It is really kicking my booty but I love it. Today I did a "step jazzercise" which is a step class with a bit of Jazzercise mixed in. I know I will definitely be sore tomorrow. But, it's worth it!

Jerm and I are going up to Denton today. We are trying to decide if we want to build or just buy a house built with in the last few years. The later would mean we can move in faster...which would mean definitely being there for Christmas and the holidays. The building would put us in the house right around the new year. And I really really don't want to spend another holiday season at our apt. The prices and the quality of homes that are already built are very good and the resale value is better. So, right now we are leaning towards just buying one. We have found a lot in the area we want, and today we are going up there to see a few.

Well, I better go get ready so I'm off. Have a great Sunday guys!

Mother's Day

Hey everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted in ridicks forever!! I forgot about this thing for a while! But, I really want to start up again, regular posting. So, I will start talking about how my second Mothers Day went yesterday. It was so good! Jerm woke me up with breakfast in bed. Then we went to my parents house after church for a super yummy lunch. We just hung out afterward and played some ps3. I played Madden 08, the game we gave my dad for his birthday. I enjoyed it. I'm not very good at it, but it is fun. I, of course picked The Bears as my team. haha. We came home last night and just crashed. I had really bad allergies yesterday and the claritan i took really knocked me out. today, Jerm has been home with a cold. It's been nice having him here! Although I hate that he's sicky.

I will try to update more often I promise!

In Complete Awe

I dunno if you've been keeping up with this family or not...but they

http://cfhusband.blogspot.com/

are truely a testimate to God's love. The woman has cystic fibrosis, was on the lung transplant list, but not pregnant. They had to take her off the list. then at only 24 wks, her baby girl was born via C-section. No one knew if they could make it, and granted it's only been 48 hrs. since the birth but they say the baby is doing wonderfully! Sure, there are still many many things as a 24 wk baby to look for and watch for and take care of, but what a praise that she has made it this far!!!! And last night the father (who writes the blogs, Nate) got to touch his little girl for the first time. So precious! At 24 wks, and only 48 hrs. after birth she is already off the "no touch" list. Amazing!!! Please continue to pray for them!!!!

Happy Holidays

Well, the holidays have come and gone now and after New years, it's back to the old grind stone. Sad in some ways, the holidays are my absolute favorite time of year, but in other ways the beginning of a new year signifies a fresh new start. It may be cheesy, but I still do my new years resolutions, and I actually try to do them. I think goals are a good thing. You'll never get anywhere if you're not reaching for something. anyways, off my soap box now ;)

We had a great Christmas...stayed at home all day. Had good family time. James' first christmas was great. He was spoiled of course, but hey...that's expected right? hehe. I got some great things too...it was an awesome day!

It has been WONDERFUL having Jerm home! I wish he could be here everyday! I'll miss him when he has to return to work on Wednesday. Boo :( That's the way it goes I guess though!

Well- I have a few pictures from the holidays that I'll leave you with. I hope you all have a safe and fun New Years Eve/Day!

HAPPY 2008!

Thanksgiving update

Well Thanksgiving was good this year. We had a lot of people and ate some yummy food. The night before though wasn't so good. I was up sick half the night. :( I debated the next day if I could go, because I was still feeling pretty lousy. But, I decided to buck up and go, I didn't want to miss Turkey Day! It turned out to be a pretty good day. Jerm and I crashed that night though!- We were exhausted!

Friday we went to see "Hitman" and did some shopping. Pretty good movie- for a guy flick. Then we put our tree up Friday night. Good times.

Saturday morning I met Liz at Mimi's Cafe for brunch. They have some yummy food indeed! Jerm and I must go back...loved the pumpkin pancakes!
That day after Liz left, we just vegged. We watched like 4 movies on tv, finished decorating our tree and just hung out. I made matchacholi (sp??) for dinner, it was yummy.

Sunday we ran some errands and went to the mall and had pics taken with James sitting on Santa's lap! They are adorable. I got a new purse/tote/diaper bag yesterday, and I am using it as a purse and a diaper bag. It is really nice and I think it'll help with the carrying of everything.

Today we had James 9 month check up and he is doing great. Weighing in at 22.5 lbs and 29 inches. Big baby! Doc said he is doing great developmentally. We got his flu shot while we were there too. We go back in a month for the booster.

Well- thats about all I have for now...have a great day!

OLD HABITS RING TRUE

Traditions. Thats what I think of most when the holidays come around. Like, what foods to make, what songs to listen to, what movies to watch, what people to see, and which house to go to. I love to decorate the house for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. We always put on christmas music, and put our tree up while drinking hot chocolate or coffee. Its always so fun, the men do the lights and the women do the ornaments. Very fun times. On Christmas eve we always go to a candlelight service, then eat dinner with my parents. Afterwards, we go home and watch "It's a Wonderful Life" while we finish last minute wrapping. Then on Christmas morning, we get up, turn the video camera on, and light some candles, put on some christmas music, turn the christmas tree on and then open presents. Then have a big breakfast of pluck me bread and eggs. I love the holidays. Especially if its cold out. That makes it the best. I always dream of a White Christmas. Maybe some year it'll happen.

This is my favorite time of year and I can't wait!!!

Happy Holidays

A lot has happened since I last posted! James turned 8 months, and is actually now almost 9 months! He is CRAWLING now, standing up while holding onto something, saying "mama" and "dada" and clapping! He is doing so good.

I am begininng to wonder if it will ever feel like fall here in TX. Its the middle of November and still in the 80's! Kinda rediculous! Oh well...

Looking forward to the holidays for sure. It's my favorite time of year. Can't wait for Turkey Day and the shopping the day after! Then hopefully when it gets cold, we can all go outside and let James play in the snow! (or at least the leaves haha) Jerm and I are planning on going up to Chicago at some point this holiday season. Then hopefully in Jan/Feb we plan on going to the Caribbean. It'll be nice to finally get a honeymoon! haha

Here are some recent pics of James.
