So, you wanna know what happened to me today? I left with Lady and Chaucer to go get their shots, and as I'm driving along I hear this loud thudding somewhere in/on the car. I'm thinking "i've never heard that before, that can't be good" so I pull into the next gas station, get out and my back left tire has a HUGE GAPING HOLE in it, and it's still smoking!! I turned around, to get my phone out of the car and there was this guy standing there. He asks "do you have a jack?" I told him, "I know I have a spare, but I'm not sure about a jack, let me call my husband real fast". He says okay. I called Jerm, told him and he said "ya theres all the stuff you need in the trunk with the spare." So I tell him theres a guy who's willing to help and that I'll call him back. I open the trunk, and the guy (and his friend who has appeared from inside by now) is getting the spare and all the stuff out of the trunk for me. I told him "I have no idea how to do this" (my dad technically taught me like 10 yrs ago but this is the first ever flat I've had so I so didn't remember a thing) and the guy (Zach) said "no problem we'll show ya". WOW. He asked me to get that lock thingy that you use to get the nuts off. I'm glad I knew where that was...So him and Nick (the other guy) start working away diligantly on my tire. It really doesn't take them over 10min. They show me how it all works, how to jack it up etc. Super nice, and explained it easily. So after they were done, they put everything back in my trunk including my blown up tire, and I offered them a soda, but they declined. I told them how completely grateful I was that they offered to help me, bc we only have one car and I would have been seriously stranded. They said "no problem anytime" and then left. I WAS SERIOUSLY IN SHOCK AT HOW NICE THEY WERE". And SO WILLING to help. I mean they OFFERED. I was barely out of the car and they were asking where the equipment was to change it with. I called Jerm after and told him it was on, and I was on my way home, and how nice those guys were. He was glad I had been helped. I know he feels helpless since he can't drive right now. So I get home, tell him everything then go to the tire store and get another tire put on. It's all fixed now (Thank God) but WHAT A MORNING!!
Does anyone else believe in guardian angels? Because I do, and it seems to me that my two guardian angels today were named Zach and Nick...
