So, you wanna know what happened to me today? I left with Lady and Chaucer to go get their shots, and as I'm driving along I hear this loud thudding somewhere in/on the car. I'm thinking "i've never heard that before, that can't be good" so I pull into the next gas station, get out and my back left tire has a HUGE GAPING HOLE in it, and it's still smoking!! I turned around, to get my phone out of the car and there was this guy standing there. He asks "do you have a jack?" I told him, "I know I have a spare, but I'm not sure about a jack, let me call my husband real fast". He says okay. I called Jerm, told him and he said "ya theres all the stuff you need in the trunk with the spare." So I tell him theres a guy who's willing to help and that I'll call him back. I open the trunk, and the guy (and his friend who has appeared from inside by now) is getting the spare and all the stuff out of the trunk for me. I told him "I have no idea how to do this" (my dad technically taught me like 10 yrs ago but this is the first ever flat I've had so I so didn't remember a thing) and the guy (Zach) said "no problem we'll show ya". WOW. He asked me to get that lock thingy that you use to get the nuts off. I'm glad I knew where that was...So him and Nick (the other guy) start working away diligantly on my tire. It really doesn't take them over 10min. They show me how it all works, how to jack it up etc. Super nice, and explained it easily. So after they were done, they put everything back in my trunk including my blown up tire, and I offered them a soda, but they declined. I told them how completely grateful I was that they offered to help me, bc we only have one car and I would have been seriously stranded. They said "no problem anytime" and then left. I WAS SERIOUSLY IN SHOCK AT HOW NICE THEY WERE". And SO WILLING to help. I mean they OFFERED. I was barely out of the car and they were asking where the equipment was to change it with. I called Jerm after and told him it was on, and I was on my way home, and how nice those guys were. He was glad I had been helped. I know he feels helpless since he can't drive right now. So I get home, tell him everything then go to the tire store and get another tire put on. It's all fixed now (Thank God) but WHAT A MORNING!!
Does anyone else believe in guardian angels? Because I do, and it seems to me that my two guardian angels today were named Zach and Nick...

I'm Back!
Hello lovlies
Sorry it's been FOREVER since I posted. I just get caught up in xanga land and forget about this one! Things are really good here. We had a great Christmas, James got a dog! He is a cocker spaniel named Chaucer. He chews on everything, but is adorable. We are loving our house. We took a trip to NYC last December and I got to meet some cousins I've never met. It was totes cool. And I got to meet a long time xanga friend! Which was totally awesome. I hope we get to see more of each other someday!! :)
James turned two in Feb. and he is growing like a weed. He talks a ton now, can't even count the words. His speech is great, he communicates what he wants and I believe that is warding off a lot of possible tantrums. He loves animals, and being in the kitchen to "help". Although he really does help with the dishes! He will help unload and load. Very sweet. He gives kisses, hugs, he asks "what happened" if you say "ow". He loves to be outside, on his slide or in his car. He loves juice, and milk, and yes a sip of soda every once in a blue moon. I can't believe how fast he is turning into a boy!
We are hoping to start ttc'ing in late April. I can't wait to do the whole pregnant thing again. Jerm and I are very excited to bring another little one into the family!
In May, I get to go up to Wichita to see my bestie Chelsey! I am so excited. I am hoping Jenny gets to come too. :) And the cooool thing is we get to meet Hannah! Very excited about that. :)
Ok that's all for now! I am on a very old laptop as our old one died, but when I get the desktop next (Jerm's on now) I will upload current pics!
Love!

Long Overdue Update
Hello everyone! It has been WAY too long. I apologize! I guess I am addicted to xanga, but I shouldn't neglect this one! I just updated my background all on my own- I'm so proud! haha! So, some things have happened in these past few months.
July: Celebrated July 4th at Blair's. Saw 2 sets of fireworks.
August: WE MOVED! We have our own house now! We live in Oak Point now. (b/w Little Elm and Denton). We LOVE HAVING A HOUSE!!!
September: Not much happened that I can remember. I think it was just a normal event free month!
October: BIG MONTH! We celebrated my 26th birthday, our 3rd wedding anniversary and MANY MANY October birthdays in our family. :)I can't believe we've been married for 3 years!!! We celebrated at this awesome restaurant in Addison called Arthurs. Such good food! James was a skunk for Halloween. He was adorable! We also took him trick or treating for the first time. He LOVED IT! Also, I found out I have gallstones, and I have to have my gallbladder removed. The surgery is actually this Friday. Baylor Frisco. Yes, I am a nervous wreck.
November: Election! Go Obama! I am SO HAPPY he won. THANK YOU LORD!
My surgery is scheduled for Friday. Nov 7th. Thats the big thing this month so far. Once I get past this, my life can go on.
James is doing spectacularly! He is talking A TON now. This evening in fact he said "no" to food for the first time. Of course he's done the signals etc, but a definite emphatic "no" exited his mouth many times while he pushed the food away we were giving him! Among, MANY other words, he is doing so great! His last appt, he weight 29lbs. BIG BOY! He is going to love Christmas. We started our decor and he was "helping" us decorate. It was SO CUTE.
We are looking forward to our housewarming party at the end of this month. Just getting the house ready as we can! I hate that I'll be out of commission for a bit after my surgery, but I hope to recover quickly!

Updates and such
Life is good here in the Adell household. James is growing like a weed! He is 15 months old now, can you believe it? I got my hair done a few wks back and its such a cute cut! I got it re-highlighted too. It needed it, bad. I'm loving my new do. Very easy to fix and tres chic!
Last week Jerm, James me and my parents all went out to eat at this restaurant called Arthurs. It's got super yummy food, I'll post some pics of our evening. Last week, we saw Indiana Jones (pretty good) and this past Friday we saw Sex and the City. That was aweosme. Can you believe Jerm saw it with me? He's such a good hubby! Then Saturday I had a bridal shower for my cousin who is getting married this fall. She is gonna be such a beautiful bride!! She's marrying an Indian, and the ceremony is going to be a traditional Indian wedding. Very cool.I've never attended an Indian wedding, so I'm quite excited about that. Then the reception promises to be very fun with drinking, eating and much dancing. I met her fiancee's sister but not him yet. His sister is very sweet though! We joked that we are future cousin-in-laws. haha. I wish Brandie and Joe (the happy couple) lived closer...they live up in Madison, WI. At least when I go up to Chicago (which I do, a lot) we get to meet up and hang out.
My mom is out of town this week, she went out to our farm in east texas.
Nothing much else going on really, I'm reading a new book called Lipstick Jungle. It's by Candace Bushnell, the same author as SATC. I'm only in the 4th chapter, but it promises to be very good.
Well, I'm gonna leave ya'll with some pics from the last few wks. Enjoy, and hope you all have a great week!

Sad news...
If you read Angie's blog you saw that her husband Todd's brother's son died last night in his sleep. He was only 10 wks old. She went into check on him at about 9 o clock and he wasn't breathing. The perimedics tried to resesitate him but no avail. It is no question that this family needs your prayers in the worst way right now. What an awlful tragedy to befall them, not long after Angie's daughter died in her arms just hours after being born. Please pray for these two families. Such a sad time.

Tonight
I'm so excited. Jerm and I are having a "date night!" We're going to see Indiana Jones, then going to this new restaurant called "Zenna". It's a Thai place, so I look forward to some yummy food! Yay!! I've done my hair all poofy in my new haircut and plan on putting make up on and getting dressed here in a minute. James is napping now, and we'll be dropping him off at my parents here in a bit. Woohoo!!
Have a great night ya'll! I know I will!
